- Project’s relevance to and support of Reef Jam’s mission “To improve St. Croix coral reef conservation efforts through community education, stewardship and conservation programs which promote positive behavior changes toward our marine environment.

- Applicant’s demonstration of project effectiveness based on project description

·- Project feasibility within a 9-month period (Oct. 1, 2009- June 30, 2010).  Applicant must agree to present a poster highlighting their projects achievements at Reef Jam 2010, taking place in May.  Also documentation on how the grant was spent must be submitted upon completion of the project.
 
 
Reef Jam Mini-Grant Application

2009 St. Croix Reef Jam Mini-Grant Program applicants will need to submit all of the following:
Forms available online at www.reefjam.com (go to “About ReefJam” and select “Mini Grant Program”)

- A cover letter describing the group/individual’s background and interest in pursuing marine education and/or conservation activities, including any past awards or recognition received

- A complete application describing applicant’s organization, purpose and proposed project description

- A budget and budget justification explaining use of received funds as well as an anticipated timetable describing when the work will be conducted

Possible projects to be funded include: organizing beach/gut cleanups, designing marine themed murals, creating environmental education awareness materials, establishing youth environmental conservation groups, and more.
